Day 15: Osaka Final Day

12 November 2006
Today is our last day in Japan. We got up about 7am and had breakfast at Starbucks. We checked out and then went to Namba station with our luggages. We put the luggages into lockers at the station, as we will be coming back here to take a bus to the Kansai airport. After we did that, we made our way to the Den Den Town again to shop for more figurines. We still had quite a bit of cash left. We wanted to spend it all. So, I went crazy on figurines. I bought quite a bit but not as many as I thought I have.

Later, we walked around Namba shopping district and I bought two jackets from the same shop. The salesgirl was very friendly. She spoke little English and was very helpful. My mom bought a winter jacket there too. I wanted to shop for a pair of leather boots but they didn’t have my size. So, I just spent the money on the jackets instead.

At about 4pm, we went back to the station and got our bus tickets to Kansai airport. We arrived at the airport at about 5:45pm. We checked in and then spent the remaining cash on perfumes from Duty Free Shop and souvenirs. Our flight was 9:35pm. So, we had heaps of time to kill. I sat in front of the TV to watch volleyball. Japan lost to Italy. Finally, we boarded our plane at 9:45pm, close to 10pm.

I didn’t want to leave. I enjoyed Japan so much that I wanted to stay. I felt sad leaving Osaka. We didn’t manage to go to Himeji Castle. Maybe next time.
