Day 14: Osaka

11 November 2006
Today, we spent all day at the gymnasium watching volleyball. I paid Y5000 each ticket. So, my mom said we should be there the whole day. We stayed until 5pm. We got there at about noon, just before the first match commenced. We met a Canadian volleyball coach there, sitting next to us. We chatted between breaks. It wasn’t a nice day because it was raining. It was one of the reasons we wanted to stay in.

Apart from watching volleyball in the gymnasium, I shopped for souvenirs in the gymnasium. They were selling souvenirs of the Championships. I got a bath towel, a handkerchief, the two mascots soft toys, lots of blow up things you use for cheering (will have pictures for you if you can’t imagine it) and my mom bought two small volleyballs.

After the volleyball, we went straight back to the hotel to watch Japan vs Serbia on TV. After that, we went to sleep. It was a pretty boring day.
