Day 09: Kyoto
6 November 2006 – Kyoto, we’re coming!
We said goodbye to Tokyo and headed west to Kyoto by Shinkansen. We boarded the world’s famous bullet train at 10am, we arrived at Kyoto at 12:10pm, just a little over 2 hours.
We explored Kyoto after we have checked into our ryokan accommodation. We followed one of the walking courses recommended by JALPAK. It was suppose to be a half-day course and we started the course at about 1pm. We got lost 5 times because we just could’t figure out where we were. We ended up finishing half of the course and did tonnes of walking.
I bought just little things like a fabric case for tissue paper, and another anime figurine. There was one figurine I really wanted to buy but it was 3000Yen for a 3cm-tall figurine. Anyway, I’ll see if I can find it in Osaka.
