Day 08: Tokyo
5 November 2006
Today, we had a short day. We went to Meiji Jingu Bridge to get a glimpse of Cosplay that Japanese teenagers are famous for. We arrived at about 11:30am but we got confused where we suppose to be. So, we walked around and finally found the place. We were early, so we decided to go into the Meiji Shrine to kill time. As we were walking out, my mom spotted George Gregan. We were very happy. We waited at the entrance gate for him to come out. At the meantime, I took pictures of the Cosplay as there were more and more people turned up. When Gregan finally came out, we took pictures. Then I approached him and he was very nice to pose with me and my mom took photo. My mom chatted with him a bit and we went our separate ways.
I finally found a nice bag with a reasonable price tag at Ometesando Street. Ometesando street is famous for its large shopping mall with all the world’s famous brands like DKNY, LV, D&G, Nike…etc. After that, we walked to Shibuya and just stopped there briefly and headed back to the hotel because my mom was tired.
Since it’s our last night in Tokyo, we ate dinner nearby and stayed in to watch volleyball on TV.
