Another week has passed. It seemed like time flew. I wanted a longer weekend to be honest. I have been busy at work but luckily I have been taking it easy at home… just chill mainly. I watch DVDs a lot lately.
Oh speaking of movie, I saw Up yesterday. I really liked it.
I thought the opening was a bit too overwhelmingly sad.
The girl who became his wife, died before they could fulfill their dreams. So sad.
But in the end, there were a few funny moments. I liked that kid who accidentally went along with the adventure. He was cute and very funny.
Today I bought a DVD, Letters From Iwo Jima by Clint Eastwood. I’m so looking forward to see this film. It won Best Picture at Golden Globe. It must be good. Last weekend, my colleague lent me a DVD, The Cats Return, a Studio Gibli’s production. I liked it too.
My stepdad came back from Perth last Tuesday and since then he wanted to get fit again. So today we went hunting for a cross-trainer to put in the garage. He met up with his old mate who got fit so he is now very motivated to do the same.
He’s strange. He was really excited to start exercising. I told him he could go swimming with me every weekend but he reckoned that’s not going to be enough. Anyway, I’m not complaining because I get to use the machine too.
I think these days there are many impatient drivers on the road. I just don’t understand why they just can’t accept the reality that if you don’t want to be stuck in grid-locked traffic, go to work early. This is a simple equation.
I drove to work in the morning and I’m sure (I can’t remember now) a few times so many of them tried to cut me off without looking or just barged into my lane because they think we all are invincible. I think I’m going to stick to riding because they tend to give a bit more attention if I ride, and besides I can go into bus lane which cuts short the amount of time I have to be on the road.
I think I need some new tops for work. I have been wearing the same tees for almost a month now. I just can’t seem to find good ones here at the shops. I really don’t like fashion in Canberra. I don’t want to spend more than $30 for a tee either. For the sort of material we get nowadays, $30 is so not worth it.
We’ll see. I’m going to update my portfolio, I’m going to set up a gallery here in my blog so that I can easily update the portfolio. So now I’m going to research on how to make this possible.
